DIVISIONS & AUXILIARIES
The Academic Division is sometimes considered a “floating university.” The organization travels to designated cities annually with its faculty and staff. The curriculum is designed for continuing education and select accreditation to the furtherance of music academia
Local Chapters from various cities and countries throughout the world are the basic primary units of the GMWA organization of the GMWA. Locally the chapter offers to its membership and surrounding areas of the city in which it is located, performance, academic and ministry opportunities. A Chapter Representative leads each local chapter that follows rules and regulations established by the Chapter Division of the parent body.

1. To provide training and instruction to ministers, evangelists, and missionaries.
2. To work closely with the Chairman in instituting innovative spiritual oversight for the National Convention.
3. To facilitate/participate in worship opportunities as directed by the Chairman.
MEMBERSHIP: Will consist of Clergy, Missionaries and those called to the work of evangelism.
The Contemporary Adult Division known as “CAD”, is a division consisting of young adults. The division provides instruction through workshops and seminars for singers and instrumentalists in the areas of performance, worship, and annual recordings.
A primary objective of the GMWA is to give the world a song. The Performance Division coordinates and implements all areas of performance within GMWA which include choirs, dancers, music and arts.

The Men’s Division is known as the “Men of Promise”. The division provides resources inclusive of music, prayer, devotion, fellowship and recordings during the annual meetings.
The Women’s Division is known as the “Women of Worship”. The division provides resources inclusive of music, prayer, devotion, fellowship and recordings during the annual meetings. The Women’s Division hosts an annual fundraiser, the “Hatters Tea” for the purpose of awarding scholarships for students pursuing higher education.
The Youth and Young Adult Division is known as “YYA”. The division provides instruction through workshops and seminars for singers and instrumentalists in the areas of performance, worship, and annual recordings.
This Department provides scheduled rideshares prior to and during annual meetings.
The purpose of the Quartet Division is to showcase traditional gospel music that consists of soloists, groups, and instrumentalists promoting a musical composition for voices historically comprised of ten or less persons. The Division also offers seminars and workshops during annual meetings.
The Alliance is comprised of individuals and entities that work to raise the level of proficiency and quality in the gospel music industry. The auxiliary promotes and advocates for religious broadcasting globally.
The Gospel Music Workshop of America Cotillion/Beautillion program cultivates Christian values, poise, and leadership within young women and men during their formative years. The program promotes high ideals and character building. The Cotillion/Beautillion culminates in a national competition during the annual convention.
The Housing Auxiliary , provides hotel information prior to annual meetings.
The James Cleveland Gospel Chorus ministers in songs written or performed by the late Rev. James Cleveland.
This auxiliary is both a professional organization and ministry for nurses and nursing students. They provide 24-hour emergency triage to the delegates and immediate care during annual meetings.
This auxiliary ensures the safety of the venue and delegates during annual meetings.
This chorale is a musical ensemble whose purpose is to perform compositions from the various styles of classical choral literature.
This auxiliary provides assistance with seating and crowd control at major events during annual meetings.
This chorale, named in memory of Dr. Robert Fryson, is a musical ensemble whose purpose is to perform compositions from various styles of anthems, hymns, and spirituals.
